Apple pie bites

Instead of a full-size pie, these treats feature a flaky pastry crust—often made from crescent roll dough, puff pastry, or pie dough—wrapped around a warm, spiced apple filling.

  1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2.  Wash, peel and slice apples into thin slices (16 pieces).

  3.  Combine sugar and cinnamon together in a custard cup.  Stir.

  4.  Unroll the package of crescent rolls and cut each of the 8 perforated pieces in half.  You will have 16 triangles in total.

  5. Place the 16 crescent roll triangles onto a baking sheet.

  6. Melt butter in microwave safe custard cup

  7. Spread a layer of butter and sprinkle with a good amount of cinnamon and sugar mixture onto each triangle piece.

  8. Wrap one apple slice into each triangle piece.

  9. Top with more butter and cinnamon and sugar.

  10. Bake for 15 minutes.
